This course offers one hour of CLE/CPE credit as experienced business broker Sherman Hillelson will discuss how to prepare your client's business (or your business) for sale. Sherman will be interviewed roundtable style by attorneys Edward L. Perkins and Martin J. Pezzner, both of whom are also CPAs.

Points of discussion will include:

  • 1. Timing of sale
  • 2. Business valuation.
  • 3. Selling on your own or through a broker.
  • 4. Preparing documents.
  • 5. Finding a buyer.
